Former Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd is stepping into the podcast space with her brand-new show The Penthouse with Peta, The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively announce.
In partnership with The Hollywood Roosevelt, the series will see Murgatroyd catch up with fellow reality television stars at the iconic hotel, discussing topics such as motherhood, entrepreneurship, career journeys and their favorite reality TV obsessions.
The first episode of The Penthouse launched on Thursday, and new episodes will arrive every Thursday on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, while full video episodes can be exclusively found on YouTube.
“From the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, join me in the penthouse,” Murgatroyd said in the podcast’s trailer. “I’ll go behind the glam and have real conversations with reality royalty. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll order room service!”
With season 34 of DWTS quickly approaching, Murgatroyd will recap episodes of the beloved competition series with fellow professional dancers during a segment of the show each week.
“I’ve spent my career sharing stories on stage and on screen, and now I get to bring that same energy to conversations I’ve always wanted to have with people I am inspired by,” Murgatroyd said in a statement. “The Penthouse is about connection, honesty, and of course, a little sparkle.”
The New Zealand native is no stranger to the reality TV landscape. She served as a DWTS pro for 15 seasons, and notably won the show twice, alongside Donald Driver in 2012 and Nyle DiMarco in 2016.
Murgatroyd’s immediate family is also fellow former and current professional dancers on the series. Her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, competed in 17 seasons and won once. Maksim’s brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, and his wife, Jenna Johnson, are both long-running DWTS pros and winners, and will appear on the upcoming 34th season.
The Penthouse is created in collaboration with Group Chat Media, which was founded by former DWTS producers.
