Radial Entertainment has unveiled its senior leadership team as the newly formed global entertainment company looks to capitalize on its massive content library spanning FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands.
CEO Garson Foos revealed the appointments, which include several promotions from within the organization’s existing ranks. The company, backed by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, boasts a library of over 70,000 movies and episodes, making it one of the largest independent catalogs in the industry.
“I am pleased to introduce our exceptional top leadership team, consisting of industry leaders known for their proven success, strategic insights, and unwavering commitment to driving excellence,” Foos said. “Together, we are poised to guide Radial and its brands into a dynamic future as the leading independent entertainment distributor.”
The C-suite appointments include Melissa Boag as chief marketing officer, Minh Vo as general counsel and executive VP of business affairs, Brian Blum as executive VP of operations, and Thibault Hermenault as executive VP of technical services.
Boag, who previously served as executive VP at Shout! Studios, will lead marketing and brand development across both FilmRise and Shout! Studios. She has been instrumental in Shout!’s expansion and content acquisitions in family entertainment and animation, forging partnerships with studios including Aardman Animations, GKIDS, Hasbro and Laika Studios.
Vo moves up from general counsel and executive VP of business affairs at FilmRise, where she secured rights to popular series including “Forensic Files” and “Unsolved Mysteries.” She previously worked at Konami Cross Media NY, managing the theatrical release of “Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.”
Blum transitions from senior VP of video production and digital operations at Shout! Studios, where he developed the company’s production and delivery infrastructure. In his expanded role, he will oversee content operations across Radial’s catalog and distribution channels.
Hermenault steps up from CTO at FilmRise to focus on integrating technical systems across the merged companies, including content onboarding, quality control and IT infrastructure.
Additional senior appointments include Bill Alexander as senior VP of finance, Jordan Fields as senior VP of content acquisitions, Lexie Heredia as senior VP of content investments, Jonitha Keymoore as senior VP of content acquisitions, CJ Laychak as executive VP of strategic operations, Jeff Peisch as senior VP of programming and new business development, and Jack Samec as head of corporate development.
The leadership shuffle also includes departures. Adam Ainley, chief administrative officer and Gene Pao, executive vice president of strategy and digital, are leaving the company.
The appointments follow Radial’s naming of David Buoymaster as chief investment officer, Johnny Holden as chief revenue and strategy officer, Dave McIntosh as executive VP of content and business affairs, and Max Pinigin as CFO.
Radial distributes content across streaming platforms, video-on-demand services, physical media and theatrical releases. The company’s catalog includes programming in genres ranging from true crime and reality to animation, westerns, classics and horror.
